Orison pairs poet Alex Moysaenko’s text with photos Butler made on a bike tour in 2017 to explore anxiety and mapping over the space of the book. The two met in Seattle shortly before Butler departed for a 1,000 mile bike ride along the Pacific coast.
The book was offset printed by Brad Freeman at Columbia College Chicago in Summer 2018 and included in the Journal of Artists’ Books #46 and the exhibition Let’s Do It: Twenty-Three Years of Book and Paper Arts at the Glass Curtain Gallery.
